Enviro-Cup will be exhibiting at this year’s Showman’s Show showcasing its solution to reducing the use of plastic drinking cups at festivals and public events.
Manufactured in Birmingham, the Enviro-Cup is the brainchild of the APS Metal Pressings Ltd design team who were challenged by Michael Eavis to create a viable alternative. Using UK sourced recycled food grade 304L stainless steel, the result is a reusable stainless steel cup which improves the drinking experience for the user when compared to plastic.
Enviro-Cup is the perfect example of the circular economy, being fully brandable allows event organisers to promote their events, festivals, charities and ensure a return on the investment. The branding is carried out in-house allowing for flexibility of quantities and delivery times.
In 2018 the Enviro-Cup has been used at over 40 festivals across the UK, Norway and Canada, with the average quantity being circa 500 cups per event. On the basis that the cup is re-used an average of 5 times each, festivals have used over 100,000 fewer plastic cups – this equates to saving over 2,000kgs of material from going to landfill.
At the end of its life, Enviro-Cup is fully recyclable ready to start again. The team will be in the Exhibition Hall on stand 19.
