Event Industry Insight App Launches Major Research Project on UK Outdoor Events
New collaborative initiative with The Power of Events and Events Industry Forum goes live October 2025
LONDON, UK — The Power of Events, in collaboration with the Events Industry Forum (EIF), is calling on outdoor event industry professionals to participate in a major new research initiative via the Event Industry Insight App. The research project, set to launch in October 2025, will assess the socio-economic impact of UK outdoor events, collecting critical data to support the sector’s future.

This new research, described as “groundbreaking,” has been a year in development and is supported by funding from the Purple Guide Grants scheme.
“We encourage everyone—event organisers, agencies, suppliers and collaborators— involved in the outdoor sector to download and register now in preparation to build a comprehensive overview of the sector’s impacts,” said Claire Drakeley, Strategic Lead for Research, Insights and Policy with The Power of Events.
“We hope people will use the summer to prepare, incorporating their experiences to create an accurate national assessment when research opens in autumn.”
The results of this research will be published by the EIF across multiple platforms in February 2026, offering valuable insights for businesses and data to inform government and wider industry decisions.
