Site Event has been supplying welfare and sanitation to the UKs best events since 1988.
Site Event will be launching its new division – Site Sleep, a range of sleeper cabins specifically for event crew, at this year’s Showman’s Show. Designed to offer a comfortable and secure overnight accommodation, with modern amenities and a cosy interior, they ensure that you can rest and recharge during multi-day events.
In additional it will be displaying its exclusive vacuum pod range including a disabled pod, 3 bay toilets, luxury 6 bay toilets, 8 bay shower pods, and a 8 bay sink unit alongside its double pump unit to demonstrate in real time how the vacuum pods can work for your events. Each of these units boast great environmental credentials, including reducing water usage and reducing carbon emissions.
With growing concerns about the industry’s impact on the environment, Site Event has focused on developing units that are environmentally friendly and reduce our carbon footprint. Its vacuum pod range has been designed and manufactured by its in-house technicians exclusively for Site Event with the specific focus on being an eco-friendly alternative to standard portable toilet hire.
The pods combine a state-of-the-art vacuum system which suctions waste away to an external waste tank up to 100 metres away. They use zero chemicals, only 0.5 L of fresh or recycled grey water (compared to the standard 6-9L), reduce carbon emission by delivering multiple units on one load opposed to towing multiple trailers, and in addition are efficiently serviced with no downtime. The pods include a mirror and use high-grade hand sanitiser instead of taps and paper towels to reduce paper and water wastage.
The stand-out feature of the 3-bay luxury vacuum toilet pods is the red and green indicator lights showing the event go-er when the toilet is vacant or engaged from a distance, thus reducing queuing time and improving user experience.
“We’re excited to unveil the Sleeper Cabins at the Showman Show this year,” said Adam Gilbert, director at Site Event. “These cabins are designed with both comfort and practicality in mind, making them an ideal solution for multi-day events where rest is crucial. We believe they will be a valuable addition to our existing range of event accommodation and welfare solutions.”
