The Sustainable Event Summit (SES) returns to The Showman’s Show on Wednesday the 21st of October, launching Vision for Sustainable Events’ focus on Energy and 30 Climate Actions for 2030.
The continued support of The Showman’s Show to host the SES reflects the organisers own sustainable actions, and this year the conference will be found at a new location, sharing with CoverMarque and Roder on Avenue G, stand 162.
SES 2026 will bring together outdoor event organisers, suppliers, local authorities, and experts, celebrating the successful launch of The Show Must Go On Report #3, the importance of which was recognised in the government's recent Climate Action Plan. The Summit is an important gathering to drive collaborative resource development, industry standards, best practice, and innovation to inspire climate action for UK events, realising the Climate Transition Plan 2030.
SES 26 will host invited guests for a morning of roundtable workshops, with a networking lunch, before doors are opened for the free-to-access open-to-all afternoon program.
The afternoon programme will feature a keynote introduction from Feimatta Conteh, Senior Manager for Environmental Responsibility at Arts Council England, before a series of panels guaranteed to give the audience valuable insights on the current and future direction of travel for event sustainability.
It opens with key industry organisations on a panel discussion ‘Sector perspective – Climate Transition Plan 2030’. With the significant advances in ‘Event Energy’, the next panel will delve into new technologies and practices to decarbonise event power, followed by industry innovators presenting quick fire Energy Innovations.
The Showman's Show's 'Green Supplier & Innovation Award' returns to showcase innovative products and services on offer from suppliers exhibiting at the Show. Back by popular demand is the ‘Best of the Summer’ panel, presenting successes for all scales of events over the season, before the summit closes with networking drinks.
