This year at the Showman’s Show, the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) will once again be addressing its #BuildBackBetter theme for the industry.

Over the course of the last 18 months, NOEA has been a leading and highly proactive voice for the industry in front of government, influencers and opinion leaders, with the objective of supporting it through this crisis, but also leaving a more stable legacy as we move away from the pandemic.

Right now, with the industry’s future still very much in doubt, NOEA has been at the forefront of plans to introduce an events industry specific insurance scheme, as well as advocating for specific support packages for events and event suppliers. However, the associations is also looking beyond 2021 and 2022 to how events can adapt to become more robust and sustainable in their own right. This includes addressing subjects such as insurance, training and skills, but also issues such as CSR and green issues, as well as diversity, equality and inclusion.

From the very start of the pandemic, it has always been NOEA’s dual objectives to support the industry through one of its darkest periods in recollection, but also to help lay the foundations of support, stability and growth in its aftermath.
