Organiser of the Showman’s Show, Lance Show & Publications Limited, has already revealed a raft of sustainable initiatives for the 2018 event held at Newbury Showground from 17th -18th October. In line with these plans, changes have been made to the Green Supplier and Innovation Award that will see three shortlisted exhibitors present to Vision:2025 experts and attendees.

For the first time, the 2018 award will be judged live at the Show, forming part of the Vision:2025 programme, curated and managed by Chris Johnson of Powerful Thinking. Three shortlisted exhibitors will be invited to deliver a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style presentation to a panel of sustainability champions and experts, including: Claire O'Neill, A Greener Festival; Catherine Bottrill, Julie’s Bicycle; Paul Read, AIF and Steve Heap, AFO, in front of the hosted event’s audience of event organisers.

Johnny Lance, event director of the Showman’s Show comments: “The Green Supplier and Innovation Award was introduced back in 2015, in partnership with Powerful Thinking. With all exhibitors eligible to enter, it has proved to be hugely popular with companies who are keen to shout about their green credentials. Now in its fourth year and with sustainability higher on the festival and event agenda than ever before, it makes sense to take it to the next stage.”

“The award is as much about companies who are implementing best sustainability practice, as it is about individual products and services, so we’d like to see as many exhibitors as possible entering. The three submissions with the highest score will be shortlisted and asked to present, not only to a panel of industry experts, but also in front of many of the UK’s leading festival organisers. This is a unique opportunity and we’re extremely grateful to everyone at Vision:2025 and Powerful Thinking for supporting the Show in this way.”
