Purple Guide Open Meeting

The Events Industry Forum, which publishes the Purple Guide, will be holding an open meeting in Meeting Tent at the show on Thursday 23rd October, 9.30-11.15 am.   The meeting will discuss plans to update the Purple Guide, including an international version, as well as the launch of a major new research project into the UK outdoor events industry, funded by a Purple Guide grant, in collaboration with The Power of Events.

The Events Industry Forum (EIF) publishes The Purple Guide and provides a meeting point for 30 trade bodies and other organisations involved in the outdoor events industry, enabling them to work together in the interests of the industry.   The Forum took over publication of the Purple Guide from the HSE in 2010, since when it has been expanded to 45 chapters with others planned.    Funds raised through subscriptions to the Purple Guide are funded back into the industry through grants.   To date the Forum has provided £318,000 in grants to industry projects.
