Visitors and exhibitors alike have hailed The Showman’s Show 2019 a huge success. Returning to Newbury Showground on 16th – 17th October 2019, the popular exhibition for the outdoor and special event industry is a key date in the calendar. Organiser, Lance Show & Publications Limited, knew as they headed into this year’s event that it had a great set of exhibitors; showcasing an impressive range of products and services, with a good number of new exhibitors and product launches to whet the appetite of attendees.

Commenting on how this year’s event unfolded, The Showman’s Show’s co-event director Jeremy Lance said: “We’ve received great feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike, whilst attendee numbers on the Wednesday were on par with 2018, numbers were significantly up on the Thursday from the previous year, delivering a fabulous second day and ending the show on a real high!”

“This year’s show saw a strong representation of the entire outdoor event supply chain; from manufacturers and suppliers, through to production and event management companies, it was undoubtedly our most comprehensive line-up to date. We also had more European and international exhibitors than ever before which was really pleasing, many of them introducing new products to the UK, with innovations which will only drive our industry further forward. Their investment in The Showman’s Show demonstrates a great level of confidence in the UK event market. Clearly, this all attributed to attracting a larger audience and the overall success of the show.”

In addition, the return of the Festival Vision:2025 Conference proved to be a triumph! Opening it up to the wider Showman’s Show audience ensured that the modular building provided by Qdos Event Hire was filled to capacity from the get-go with many sessions having standing rooming only.

Commenting on the impressive turnout and overall success of the event, Bethan Riach, Powerful Thinking’s communications manager said: "A huge thanks to all who were part of the Festival Vision: 2025 event this year. It was great to see organisers from diverse event sectors, and many of The Showman’s Show’s attendees and exhibitors joining the conference throughout the day for updates in key areas of sustainability.”

“Many thanks to The Showman’s Show for hosting, to Eat to the Beat for the delicious member’s lunch and to Purity Ales for the networking drinks – and of course to all of the speakers and guests whose knowledge and experience helped put Festival Vision: 2025 in context of climate emergency globally and nationally and offered potential solutions, while also drilling into the day to day onsite challenges of event management and what the future might look like in terms of new event-led initiatives and innovations in the supply chain.”

Johnny Lance, The Showman’s Show’s event director added: “The Festival Vision:2025 Conference proved to be a great success with The Hub full to capacity from the outset, proving that The Showman’s Show is a great platform for bringing together the industry to discuss key issues like sustainability.”

“The highlight for me was the Green Supplier and Innovation Award; seeing three of our exhibitors delivering presentations on innovative, sustainable solutions to a roomful of the industry’s leading festival organisers was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was charged, and it was a close contest, with the joint entry from MSS International and Continest eventually crowned the winner, not before a re-vote from the audience following an initial tie break. Huge congratulations to them and to Morris Site Machinery and Lapee who also deserve recognition as they were incredibly worthy runners-up.”

The Showman’s Show will return to Newbury Showground on 21st – 22nd October 2020.
